From Penny Farthings to Fixies, amateurs to Elites, the London Nocturne brings fast-paced and exciting road racing right into the centre of London, as we race into the night!

We are looking for Volunteers to help us deliver the MR PORTER Nocturne London on Saturday 9th June 2018. Check out the FAQs below then drop us an email in relation.

What are the requirements to be a volunteer?

You must be 18 or over on the day of the event and have plenty of energy, we are looking for is people who are pro-active, friendly, and keen to get involved.

What kind of roles are available?

We have a mix of team member roles across the whole event, to support the Riders, Press, Guests and Attendees, Crew and Volunteers, and a very select few will get the opportunity to assist marshal on the race circuit, for this particular role we are keen to hear from individuals who are perhaps race or cycling savvy.

What does volunteering entail?

Simply put, volunteering involves helping to keep an area of the event running smoothly. Every volunteer will be assigned a role in an area such as Rider Pits where you’ll be assisting the competitors, Registration where you’ll be signing Riders in, or Race Circuit assisting marshalling on the course. 

What are the hours required?

AM team: 8AM-2PM

On Saturday, the build team will be kicking things off bright and early, with a briefing from 6AM and then heading on to the Circuit from to deck it out in branding and set up the different areas, to make sure everything looks slick. This team will finish up by midday, meaning they can enjoy the racing throughout the afternoon. 

PM team: 12PM-10:30PM

Our other volunteers will arrive at lunchtime to check-in and have a brief. From 13 pm they’ll get into action to welcome the cyclists ready for racing to start . The event races finishes at 10:15pm, and after branding de-rig all volunteers will clock off by 10:30. 

What is provided to volunteers?

  • Meals, snacks
  • Tea, coffee, water

Unfortunately we will not be able to provide nor compensate volunteers with costs incurred relating to accommodation, parking, or travel. 

We will aim to reply to all but if in the instance that you have not heard within 2 weeks of application please assume that on this occasion that you have been unsuccessful.
